Eton's Poundbury Clone Threatens Rural Sussex A new battle has erupted over plans for a 3,250 home development near East Chiltington in East Sussex.
The proposal, spearheaded by Eton College and backed by Welbeck Land, aims to create a self contained community modeled after King Charles's ill fated Poundbury town in Dorset.
The site is approximately 60 miles from Eton College itself, but its proximity to the sleepy hamlet of East Chiltington has raised alarm among locals.
