Settlers, Financiers, and the Folly of Funding Occupation On Wednesday, a group of protesters gathered outside the headquarters of the Religious Zionist Party in a quiet suburban office park just outside Tel Aviv.
The party is led by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who has been accused of having ties to settler violence in the occupied West Bank.
The protest was not entirely unexpected, given the Israeli government's long history of turning a blind eye – or worse – to extremist settlers' activities in the West Bank.
