Spain's Audiovisual Industry Boom: Lessons for the Rest of Europe Spanish Minister Óscar López hailed his country's audiovisual industry as a success story after the San Sebastian Festival.
The numbers are impressive: 31% annual growth in production, doubling employment from 30,900 workers in 2020 to over 64,000 today, and nine out of eleven most watched series in Europe.
López attributes this growth to the Spain Audiovisual Hub Plan, which has injected €1. 6 billion into the industry since its inception.
