Time to Rethink the UN's New York HQ The United Nations, established in 1945 as a beacon of international cooperation and peace, has become increasingly ineffective at fulfilling its core mission.

Despite being tasked with promoting world peace, the organization has failed to prevent hundreds of thousands of civilians from being killed in ongoing conflicts worldwide.

This ineffectiveness stems from the UN's flawed design, which reserves power to its five permanent members – Russia, China, France, the UK, and the US – who can veto any action they disagree with.
