Sky Fury in the Langtang Valley The remote hills of Nepal's Langtang Valley have seen their share of natural disasters, including a 100 meter high tidal wave that ravaged villages and left scores dead.
The last known location of an Australian family from Sydney's north west was Syabrubesi, a village at the start of the Langtang Valley trek, where they were last seen checking out of their hotel just hours before the disaster struck.
Pasang Tamang witnessed the horror unfold on a hilltop overlooking Syabrubesi. "The wave was dark and dragging debris," he recalls.
